The release of this September Full Moon is a journey back in time with Dimitris Kamarotos. On the Full Moon of the harvest we are called to return to everyday life, to look back at the beautiful moments of the past and to balance between the various beliefs about it. The beginning of the corn harvest for Native Americans and the seasonal fruit for Europeans is indicated by the bright silver light that helps harvest their crops. For this year, the unique full moon of September coincides with the Autumnal Equinox.

“It’s Just an Autumnal Equinox, Not a Paradox”

The collection of compositions by Dimitris Kamarotos from the 1980s was a process of collecting sound creations that hardly disclose the era of their recording. Ageless music characterized by curiosity and appetite for a coveted innovative result. These are the sounds that do not age and so are nowhere in time. Dealing with them only through the sense of hearing is the way to approach these compositions.

We are guided by the silver light of the full moon that seems to have helped collect these pieces four decades later. Thus we enter not only the season of Autumn but also the era of the conception of sound emotions by Dimitris Kamarotos that are clearly visible in his contemporary work. Peculiarities and details that make these compositions surpass any time and offer an eyelid lift that we so desperately need to pull us out of everyday life. Let this be the beginning of revealing the music excerpts that remain dusty in their past cases and gaining substance in today and inspiration in tomorrow.
